UK Amateur Radio Licences as at 30th June 2010

Date: 21/07/2010

The UK regulator Ofcom has supplied the figures for the total number of Amateur Radio Licences issued as at 30th June 2010.

It should be remembered that these figures are for the number of licences issued not the number of stations. UK Radio Amateurs and clubs can hold multiple licences.

It is believed that in the last few years a significant number of Full licence holders who let their licences lapse in the 1980’s and 90’s have been renewing them again.

The number of completely new Full licences can be inferred from the Annual Report produced by the RCF Standards Committee.
